Inspired by light and the poetry of nature, Patience captures an essence in her work that speaks louder than paint . Known for her versatility and refusal to put limitations on herself, she displays a wide body of work from brush to palette knife. Compositions range from landscape, still life, to figure painting. If there is a message to share, you will find that voice on her canvas.
Patience was selected as the artist to represent publications for Palmer Land Trust and her photography enhances the hallways of Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs. Versatile in both watercolor and oil, Patience is included in private collections within the United States, Mexico, and Europe. Her hotel paintings are exclusively sold through the Signature Shop, Lifestyles, and Spirit of the West, all located on hotel property.
Patience's work was recently purchased by The Navigators at Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs and hangs proudly in The United States Headquarters building. In addition the artist is represented by Hunter-Wolff Gallery in Colorado Springs, Seven Arrows Gallery in Woodland Park Colorado. Patienceâ€™s art work was recently juried and accepted by Oil Painters of America.

Patience Heyl invites you to join her ongoing Oil and Watercolor Painting sessions held Tues, Wednesday, or Thursdays from 10-12. Studio is available until 12:30. You may choose you session time frames and change days as needed. Sessions are held in studio 111 at Cottonwood Center for the Arts and include all painting supplies. 4 sessions $160.00.
Learn each step from toning a canvas, planning a composition to color theory. Students work from Still Life, Figure, photography, or even Plein Air as we move along.
